Hello, my name is William Johnson and I believe in optimizing opportunities. Throughout my life, I’ve been surrounded by people who told me that I wasn’t good enough and that I should just give up. When I was young, someone told me I wasn’t good at art, and when I was eight, I got my art showcased at a museum in Houston. When I was a teenager, someone told me I couldn’t sing, and a year later, I sang at the Brooklyn Tabernacle with the choir in New York City. In my first semester of college, I was told I will never be anything, and then I started working in Television News at the age of 18. Now, I still work in Television News and am defined by my determination to believe in myself and others. I constantly find myself seeking advice, reading books, or watching videos on how to improve myself as a journalist and a communicator. The quote that keeps me going, and I hope you take with you throughout the rest of your days is this.
“Believe in yourselves, dream, try, and do good.”
